A partir de que idade pode começar a usar?
Os médicos falam que, mais importante do que a faixa etária da paciente, é saber se ela realmente precisa do tratamento. Homens e Mulheres jovens, 30 anos em média com tendência genética à formação de rugas podem usufruir da técnica de forma preventiva: ao relaxar determinado músculo, a toxina botulínica previne o aparecimento de um vinco mais profundo daqui a cinco ou dez anos. Existem efeitos colaterais?

Também podem ocorrer dor de cabeça logo após a aplicação e manchas roxas nos pontos das picadas. Gestantes ou pacientes com problemas neurológicos não devem usar a substância.

Você vai sentir as picadas da agulha, mas quem fez diz que é suportável. As pacientes mais sensíveis podem recorrer a um creme anestésico para passar sobre a pele antes da injeção.
O resultado é imediato?
Não. O efeito começa a ser observado em três ou quatro dias, mas o resultado final aparece mesmo depois de uma semana. Por isso, entre o sétimo e o décimo quarto dia, o médico deve marcar um retorno para verificar a necessidade de um retoque pode haver a permanência da ruga entre as sobrancelhas ou assimetria entre elas, por exemplo.
