Muitos acidentes ocorrem por falta de informação e cuidados envolvendo a segurança na rede elétrica, por isso, é importante alertar para os riscos com a rede e os cuidados necessários no dia a dia para evitar acidentes, muitas vezes fatais.
Durante o mês de agosto, a Associação Brasileira de Distribuidores de Energia Elétrica (Abradee) em parceria com as distribuidoras de energia do país, está realizando uma campanha reforçando os cuidados que a população deve ter com a rede elétrica. No material da campanha foram divulgados dados referentes a acidentes elétricos no Brasil, mostrando a elevação no último ano, de aproximadamente 3% no número de ocorrências, e de 5,8% nos acidentes fatais.
De acordo com a Abradee, no ano de 2018, foram registrados 891 acidentes em todo o país, destes, 271 foram de maior gravidade e ocasionaram a morte de vítimas. A principal responsável pelos acidentes fatais ocasionados pelo contato com a rede de energia, é a construção/manutenção predial, com 55% dos casos no último ano, o que equivale a 89 mortes. Neste caso, observa-se o grande número de construções de pequeno e médio porte realizadas sem o acompanhamento de profissionais especializados ou pessoas qualificadas para realizar as instalações. No Amazonas, em 2017 foram registrados 9 acidentes fatais, assim como 6 mortes ocorreram, no ano de 2018.
É importante o envolvimento de toda a sociedade nas ações de conscientização para a prevenção de acidentes com a rede elétrica. Outros aspectos, como o crescimento desordenado das cidades, com desrespeito às normas urbanísticas, devem ser combatidos pelos governos e entidades públicas, na tentativa de reduzir os fatores que prejudicam o controle da segurança das redes elétricas.
Segundo divulgação da Abradee, 14% dos casos de acidentes com a rede elétrica ocorreram na região Norte, 31% no Nordeste, 35% no Sudeste, 11% no Sul e 9% no Centro-Oeste.

A Amazonas Energia faz um alerta sobre alguns cuidados que podem salvar vidas. Ações como subir em postes é muito arriscado, somente os colaboradores da Distribuidora de energia elétrica podem fazer serviços na rede elétrica. Eles são preparados para isso, com técnicas e equipamentos apropriados que evitam acidentes.
Utilizar varas de bambu ou madeira para levantar cabos para a passagem de veículos e equipamentos é perigoso e pode causar acidentes fatais, assim como não construir obras próximas à rede elétrica, não fazer instalações elétricas irregulares, instalar antenas de TV longe da rede elétrica, não emendar fios; nunca subir em postes para tocar na rede de energia elétrica; não soltar pipas (papagaios) próximo aos cabos elétricos; avaliar o uso de benjamins, manter crianças longe das tomadas e ter cuidado com sobrecargas do circuito elétrico.
1 – Em construções ou reformas, mantenha uma distância segura da rede elétrica, principalmente ao movimentar materiais metálicos, como barras de ferro e arames. Consulte sempre um profissional capacitado para este tipo de serviço.
2 – Roubar/furtar/desviar energia elétrica, além de ser muito perigoso, é crime. Provoca acidentes graves e até fatais. Respeite a lei, evite acidentes e contribua para uma sociedade mais ética. O roubo de energia elétrica também causa danos aos consumidores que pagam suas contas em dia, pois compromete a qualidade do fornecimento de energia.
3 – Em caso de colisão de veículo em um poste de rede elétrica, não se aproxime do local, pois os cabos elétricos poderão estar caídos no solo, sobre cercas, residências ou ainda sobre veículos. Neste caso, não saia do carro até que chegue o corpo de bombeiros. Se houver incêndio, salte do carro com os dois pés juntos, o mais longe possível, não tocando nas partes da lataria do veículo.
4 – Os cabos da rede elétrica podem se partir por diversas causas (vandalismo, pipas, colisões de veículos em postes, dentre outras). Mesmo partidos, os cabos podem estar energizados e provocar acidentes graves. Por isso, nunca toque em um cabo partido.
5 – O que muita gente não sabe é que um brinquedo, aparentemente inocente, pode causar um grande estrago e até um acidente fatal. O famoso ‘papagaio’ de papel (pipa) é um dos principais responsáveis por desgastes e acidentes na rede elétrica. Isso porque o brinquedo é usado junto com o cerol – uma espécie de mistura cortante feita com cola de sapateiro, vidro e restos de materiais condutores. É um dos principais causadores de desligamentos, pois, geralmente, rompem os cabos de energia quando entram em contato com a rede elétrica. Além disso, muitos curtos circuitos e oscilações são provocados pela tentativa de retirada de papagaios presos aos cabos. No Amazonas, esse tipo de prática é bem comum na capital e no interior, principalmente, durante o verão. Soltar pipas/papagaios somente em locais abertos e bem longe da rede elétrica, como parques, praias e campo de futebol. Se a pipa enroscar nos fios elétricos, não tente tirá-la de jeito nenhum (sua vida é mais importante). Evite também usar o cerol.
6 – Na instalação ou conserto de antenas, cuidado com a rede elétrica. Escolha um lugar afastado dos fios, observando quando o tempo estiver bom, sem chuva. Caso a antena caia na fiação, nunca tente segurá-la ou recuperá-la.
7 – Nunca faça poda de árvores que estiverem próximas ou em contato com as redes elétricas. A poda de árvores é um serviço que deve ser realizado somente por profissionais preparados e qualificados.
8 – Mantenha a distância da rede elétrica ao usar máquinas agrícolas. Esteja sempre atento para evitar acidentes com máquinas agrícolas movimentadas próximas da rede elétrica. E nunca faça queimadas nem deixe a vegetação chegar perto dos fios e postes.
