Ministério da Saúde confirmou no fim da tarde de hoje (28) que o Brasil tem três casos suspeitos de coronavírus. Além de uma estudante de 22 anos, que está internada em Belo Horizonte, mais duas pessoas têm suspeitas de portar o vírus. Uma delas está em Porto Alegre (RS) e outra em Curitiba (PR).
Segundo o ministério, esses pacientes se enquadram na atual definição de caso suspeito. Eles apresentaram febre e pelo menos um sinal ou sintoma respiratório; além de terem viajado para a China, país onde a contaminação teve início, nos últimos 14 dias. O ministério não ofereceu maiores detalhes sobre os casos.
Dados do ministério apresentados na manhã desta terça-feira mostraram que, no período de 3 a 27 de janeiro, foram analisados 7.063 suspeitas de pessoas com coronavírus no Brasil. Desses, 127 exigiram a verificação mais detalhada e apenas o caso da estudante em Belo Horizonte havia sido enquadrado como suspeita.
Diante da epidemia que tem se espalhado rapidamente pela Ásia e atingindo também países da Europa e da América do Norte, o ministério recomenda que os brasileiros evitem viagens à China. O ministro Luiz Henrique Mandetta pediu para que as viagens apenas sejam realizadas se forem necessárias.
“Nós desaconselhamos e não proibimos as viagens para a China. Não se sabe, ainda, qual é a característica desse vírus que é novo; sabemos que ele tem alta letalidade. Não é recomendável que a pessoa se exponha a uma situação dessas e depois retorne ao Brasil e exponha mais pessoas. Recomendamos que, não sendo necessário, que não se faça viagens, até que o quadro todo esteja bem definido”, disse durante a coletiva.
