Um grupo de populares não teve a mínima pena de um assaltante que tentou praticar um roubo na plataforma da linha Expresso na Avenida Alameda Cosme Ferreira, bairro do Coroado 1, Zona Leste de Manaus.
O bandido, apelidado de “Paulo Maconha”, empunhava uma faca no momento da tentativa de assalto. Ele roubou um telefone celular e na hora da fuga deu azar porque foi agarrado por um grupo de populares e espancado com várias pauladas, chutes e murros.
O espancamento do assaltante só foi encerrado quando chegou ao local uma equipe de policiais militares da 11ª Cicom.
O homem preso estava prestes a ser amarrado na traseira de um carro e arrastado pelo asfalto, segundo um dos participantes do espancamento. A sorte de “Paulo Maconha” foi que os policiais militares chegaram antes do linchamento ser consumado.
Depois de ser salvo da morte, o assaltante foi levado ao Hospital e Pronto-Socorro Dr. João Lúcio Pereira. Após o atendimento médico, ele seria apresentado no 11ª DIP para os procedimentos legais.
