Na Indonésia, um encantador de serpentes foi morto após ser atacado por uma cobra-rei de cinco metros de cumprimento durante uma apresentação para seus vizinhos. Conhecido como Norjani, o rapaz deixou a serpente presa durante uma semana para fins medicinais e acabou sendo mordido duas vezes pelo animal após soltá-la.
Segundo o jornal britânico Metro, o momento foi registrado pelo público que assistia à apresentação. Nas imagens é possível observar que o animal parte contra o rosto de Norjani, que ri logo após ser mordido.
Depois da apresentação, o homem foi levado ao hospital para receber o antiveneno, porém o veneno do réptil já havia se espalhado por todo o corpo e ele foi declarado morto, horas depois do atendimento.
A família de Norjani sacrificou a cobra cortando a sua cabeça como uma forma de vingança a qualquer espírito maligno.
