Portaria que trata da medida foi publicada nesta segunda-feira
Nesta segunda-feira (10), uma portaria publicada no Diário Oficial da União (DOU) autorizou a utilização da Força Nacional de Segurança Pública em ações contra o desmatamento ilegal no Pará. A permissão foi concedida pelo ministro da Justiça e Segurança Pública, Sergio Moro.
De acordo com o texto, as ações irão acontecer em locais de alerta de desmatamento que tenham sido identificados pelo Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais (Inpe). O foco da atuação será nas “atividades e serviços imprescindíveis à preservação da ordem pública e da incolumidade das pessoas e do patrimônio”.
A equipes irão trabalhar em conjunto com o Instituto Brasileiro do Meio Ambiente e dos Recursos Naturais Renováveis (Ibama) e com o Ministério do Meio Ambiente.
A portaria prevê que a Força Nacional de Segurança atue até o dia 31 de dezembro de 2020. A ação, no entanto, pode ser prorrogada.
