Estudantes do Crato, no Ceará, desenvolveram um protetor solar feito à base de óleo de buriti para proteger trabalhadores de baixa renda, que ficam debaixo de sol forte do nordeste, na extração de calcário no Vale do Buriti, em Santana do Cariri.
A ideia, para proteger pessoas que não têm dinheiro para comprar filtro solar, foi dos alunos Eron Pinheiro e Fidel Morais, que cursam o 3º ano do ensino médio, no Colégio Pequeno Príncipe.
Os estudantes conseguiram desenvolver o produto com orientação do professor de química, Cícero Teixeira e de geografia, Jefferson Feitosa. Agora o protetor solar Ultra Buriti entrou em fase de testes.
O protetor
Os estudantes estão trabalhando a fórmula do produto desde dezembro de 2019.
O protetor tem um mix de ativos naturais, com fator de proteção e hidratação e um bom custo benefício.
Ele tem uma fusão de fatores de proteção e de hidratação natural que carrega propriedades específicas para o cuidado e proteção da pele.
“Eles desenvolveram o PH e o Fator de Proteção Solar, FPS. Concluindo essa etapa final estaremos com o filtro protetor solar preparado”, disse o professor Cícero.
Os próximos passos são criar uma embalagem sustentável e tornar o produto acessível para pessoas com baixa renda.
Buriti
Os alunos escolheram o Buriti como princípio ativo pela capacidade da fruta de absorção dos raios ultravioleta.
Alunos e professores decidiram dar o nome de Ultra Buriti após conhecerem a rotina dos trabalhadores do Vale do Buriti, em Santana do Cariri, que passam horas debaixo de sol forte diariamente.
Os estudantes contam que a experiencia veio da vontade de realizar um projeto científico com cunho social.
