Mais de 15 anos após precisar interromper os estudos por conta de uma gravidez, Dayana Mamer, 31 anos, resolveu voltar à sala de aula para incentivar o filho a permanecer na escola.
Mãe e filho frequentam a Escola Municipal Raul Rocha do Amaral, em São Vicente (SP), e fazem parte do projeto Educação de Jovens e Adultos (EJA). Eles estudam na mesma sala de aula.
Dayana voltou a estudar em 2018 para ajudar o filho, Luiz Henrique Vasconcelos, 15 anos, que estava tendo muitas dificuldades de aprendizado. “No 7º ano ele [filho] repetiu. A família achou que era melhor ele mudar de escola e ele acabou indo morar um ano com a minha tia, mas novamente ele repetiu essa série”, relembra.
“Foi então que vi que na escola tinha o EJA, então pensei que poderia voltar a estudar com ele. Esperei ele completar 15 anos e nós nos matriculamos juntos, na mesma sala. Não queria que ele fizesse o mesmo que eu, de abandonar os estudos. Desejo um futuro diferente ao meu filho“, destaca.
A autônoma interrompeu os estudos na 7ª série ao descobrir que estava grávida – ela tinha 14 anos. “Perdi minha juventude. Acabei tentando voltar a estudar de novo, mas não consegui e desisti na época”, diz.
“O boletim dele não tem nota menor do que oito”
Tudo que ela deseja hoje é recuperar o tempo perdido e garantir ao filho um futuro diferente.
“Por incrível que pareça, está dando super certo. O boletim dele não tem nota menor do que oito. Um ajuda o outro e isso eu acho muito legal. Tem matérias que ele gosta mais e tem mais facilidade, assim como tem outras que eu já me dou melhor, então nos apoiamos e trocamos conhecimento. Fazemos trabalhos, lições de casa, e estudamos para as provas juntos. A educação é muito importante e, se a mãe não estiver presente na vida escolar e social do filho, não vai para frente”, diz.
Dayana é só elogios para o progresso do filho na escola. A decisão de estudarem juntos trouxe aos dois uma experiência rica.
“A adolescência é uma fase muito difícil e é essencial que a mãe esteja acompanhando cada passo do filho. A educação é muito importante nas nossas vidas. Eu sei disso porque parei de estudar muito nova e me fez falta. Para mim, essa experiência de retornar a sala de aula é inexplicável. Parece que voltei 17 anos no tempo e estou ganhando uma nova oportunidade. Além disso, eu e o Luiz nos tornamos mais próximos e unidos depois de tudo isso. Melhorou o diálogo“, diz.
Para o professor André Zeferino, que ajuda mãe e filho na escola, “o importante, no final das contas, é estudar”.
“É muito importante o aluno ter esse conhecimento diário e transformador. Pessoas que acreditam que não tem mais como estudar podem, sim, estudar. O EJA proporciona isso e elas jamais devem desistir. A educação é transformadora e pode garantir um futuro promissor”
