Pela primeira vez em oito anos, um avião civil aterrissou, hoje (19), em Aleppo, na Síria. O voo da companhia Syrian Air transportava ministros sírios e jornalistas que saíram da capital do país, Damasco, e a chegada teve clima festivo.

Este é o primeiro voo civil a pousar na segunda maior cidade da Síria em oito anos de conflito.
O voo aconteceu alguns dias o Exército da Síria reconquistar os setores ao redor de Alepo, garantindo a segurança da cidade após a expulsão de facções jihadistas.
Ao comentar sobre o voo histórico à agência oficial Sana, o ministro dos Transportes, Ali Hamud, declarou:
“É uma vitória significativa realizada graças aos sacrifícios heroicos do exército sírio e à determinação do povo sírio”

Segundo a Organização das Nações Unidas (ONU), desde o início da guerra, em março de 2011, mais de 380 mil pessoas morreram na Síria.
