O Ministério Público do Amazonas, por meio da Promotoria de Justiça de Uarini, instaurou inquérito civil e expediu recomendação visando coibir a prática de nepotismo nos diversos órgãos públicos daquele município. A nomeação de parentes para o exercício de cargos públicos em comissão ou de confiança ou, ainda, em função gratificada, é vedada pela Constituição Federal brasileira e viola os princípios da moralidade, da impessoalidade e da eficiência, que norteiam a Administração Pública no país.
“O nepotismo é incompatível com o conjunto de normas éticas abraçadas pela sociedade brasileira e pela moralidade administrativa. É uma forma de favorecimento intolerável em face da impessoalidade administrativa e, praticado reiteradamente, beneficiando parentes em detrimento da utilização de critérios técnicos para o preenchimento dos cargos e funções públicas de alta relevância, constitui ofensa à eficiência administrativa necessária ao serviço público”, registro o titular da PJ de Uarini, Promotor de Justiça Gustavo Van Der Laars.
O IC nº 003/2020-PJU foi instaurado com base em denúncia recebida pelo órgão ministerial quanto à existência de 17 casos de nepotismo em Uarini. Para coibir a prática, o Promotor de Justiça Gustavo Van Der Laars expediu a Recomendação, dirigida ao Executivo e Legislativo Municipal, prescrevendo a exoneração, no prazo de trinta dias, de todos os ocupantes de cargos comissionados, função de confiança ou função gratificada, tanto da administração pública municipal direta como da indireta.
