O americano Michael Hughes, de 64 anos, morreu no sábado (22) após um problema no lançamento de um foguete criado por ele mesmo. O acidente aconteceu no quintal da casa dele, na Califórnia, EUA, e foi divulgado pelo canal de televisão Science Channel.
Hughes era conhecido por defender que a Terra é plana. Com seu foguete, ele queria provar sua teoria.
Lançado com o foguete, o americano caiu de uma altura de 500 metros. O para-quedas de segurança falhou.
A ação dele seria gravada para ser exibida no Science Channel.
